Who is eligible to live at Bowen Apartments?
Anyone who wants to be a part of our friendly, safe and vibrant residential community.
While we are designated senior housing, a selection of our spacious, bright and affordable units are available to people younger than age 55. Our central-Raytown suburban location, so close to Kansas City, Lee's Summit and other nearby communities, makes us a great option for anyone who works in those areas.
If you are 55 or older but your spouse, partner or roommate is not, you are welcome to consider Bowen your new home. You can also choose a unit at Bowen to share with another member of your family, like a son, daughter, or grandchild over the age of 14.

Missouri Tax Credit
Are you currently receiving the Missouri Property Tax Credit? Do you know if you are eligible for this program? If you are over the age of 65, rent your home and are a single person with a total income of $27,500 or less, or a married couple with a total household income of $29,500 or less (not including disabled veteran benefits), or if you own your own home and have an income of $30,000 or less (single) or $34,000 or less (married), then you may be eligible for this credit! The details for this program are explained on the Missouri government website.
If you currently live at Bowen Apartments, ask our manager about the eligibility requirements for this program, and get a form to apply for it if you believe you are eligible. If you wish to move into Bowen and think you might be eligible, just ask our manager for a form when you come by to view one of our apartments.
